We glorify a fragment – then one can see more clearly – willing to describe again the situation in which we have found ourselves. A set of works of irregularly increasing length, were created out of an overwhelming need for self-reference. Following the utopian idea of the West – to see oneself.
A substance for covering human body to lend it charm and splendour. Our way of deceiving the sun, another one in the series of various tricks performed by a human to focus, even more solely, on themselves. A ray of sunlight permanently located in the body, even though deprived of the warmth and power of its prototype, still available regardless of the season.
For a second or two we gain a sense of utter fulfilment; instead of true happiness with reaching a new goal, monotony of beauty treatments in the entirety of the cares of the day. Therefore, the only thing we can do is to call ourselves as a witness, with the help of photography which we have credulously entrusted our existence to.

Dawid Furkot - A graduate of the PWSTViT in Łódź. In his work, he illustrates the kind of tension between fiction and document as the components necessary to maintain questions about how to build the credibility of a photographic image.
